This is just one of the songs we are thinking of using, but we just want to use the chorus. So we will cut it down when we use it, as it will show the meaning of our video and how the characters are feeling.

Rom com film reviews.

This film review is about 50 first dates. It shows us whats good and bad about that particularly film and it will help us with our film making. So we know how to make our film differ from this one and how to make the critics like it.

This film review is on The Break Up. I chose this film to review because it gives mixed opinions on how its good and bad, so it will be perfect for us to use. We will know how to make our film one of the best and to stay away from the bad comments.



Planning & Research.

These are some films in the same genre as we wish to do ours in and they all seem to get average ratings. Most of them stay below 4 stars. So that gives us the chance to make ours bigger, better and hopefully get better ratings.

Above is a list of directors and their films with similar genres to our idea. This has helped us a lot in our planning stages because it means if our film was ever to be produced we would know who our top competition would be and who the best director is to help us. We can tell the best director by looking at the films produced and seeing which one has been most successful.

Planning

This is where we have started planning, but some ideas could change if certain things affect them.

Our idea and others similar on the market.

Our final idea is similar to the 2006 film 'John Tucker Must Die.'

Three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater set up their former lover to fall for the new girl in town so they can watch him get his heart broken.

Our idea however is about one boy who is trying to get revenge on his ex-girlfriend for messing him around and not caring about him or taking his emotions into consideration.

Although our ideas are similar they have completely different concepts and will be represented differently.

Detailed Description

Romcom ..

In the opening scene, we will do close ups of some snapshots of Jacob(Joe Shaw) and Isabella(Gina Fort) in memories of there relationship. A short memory will then show Jacob(Joe Shaw) reminiscing about old times with Isabella(Gina Fort) fading camera shot will show the image as distant memory. A medium shot of Jacob(Joe Shaw) ripping a picture of him and Isabella(Gina Fort), so build up to title there will be a close up of the ripped image with KARMA in individual letters.

pitching ideas and feedback.

 

Changing Identities was a film idea we had within our group, the genre was an Action Thriller. We decided against this film because of the hassle and difficulty of contacting the police about allowing the props we would need to use on the streets e.g. knifes. Changing Identities would have been a really easy film to shoot as it would contain a lot of jump cuts.

 

Karma was another film idea that our group produced, the genre is Romcom; this was the genre that we believed that we would enjoy the most and it would be fun to film. Feedback was given when we produced our presentation to the class, it was very useful feedback, it was mainly positive but  if we did get a negative we would work on it and change it into a positive. A basic and detailed description was posted on our blog.

Lost times was another film idea that our group produced, the genre of the film is based on Romance.

We did like this idea as we prefer to do a Romcom or just romance but from the eedback that was given, there was many faults with this idea and required alot of work to ensure that the opening scene would be good quality and keep the audience interested.

The feedback we got was that the film opening to karma sounded like it would work better compared to the two others. So we have decided to go with karma and described the opening in more detail.
